The DSW provides deep and impactful bass that will perfectly play its part in a two-channel or complete surround-sound set-up made up of any of our Digital Active DSP Loudspeakers. It comes standard in piano black or white, and is a part of the Meridian Select range of bespoke color options.
Designed to complement Meridian’s range of Digital Active Loudspeakers, DSW – Meridian's first DSP-powered subwoofer – is an extremely powerful unit. It is ideal for use in a complete surround-sound configuration of DSP3200 or DSP3300 loudspeakers, for example, or to complement larger Meridian loudspeakers such as the DSP5200. DSW subwoofers can even be paired with DSP7200 loudspeakers where appropriate. It is ideal for use with a Meridian Surround Controller or in systems incorporating Audio Core 200.
DSW is available as standard in black or white gloss lacquer finish.
Meridian’s first DSP Subwoofer, DSW delivers powerful, authentic bass with room-filling performance to enhance both music and movie soundtracks.
Designed with the power needed to complement the bass response of Meridian Digital Active Loudspeakers, which already exhibit impressive bass extension.
Ideal for the most bass-heavy music and the most powerful action movie soundtracks.
Ideal for use with a Meridian Surround Controller or in systems incorporating Audio Core 200.A three-way switch determines the digital channels to which the unit responds.
New high-power long-throw 12in driver and amplifier combination delivers maximum performance under total DSP control, for full, impressive yet fully-integrated bass.
Downward-facing driver minimises lateral movement.
Extremely strong internal cabinet construction for maximum rigidity at high power levels.
limiting sound quality. Meridian loudspeakers contain a complete, matched audio
system with efficient DSP crossovers, multiple DACs and driver-specific amplifiers,
giving higher overall quality, less power use, and the performance of a traditional
loudspeaker eight times the physical volume.
performance. Meridian's SpeakerLink uses an “Ethernet style” cable that delivers
pristine digital sound and control down a single cable between Meridian components.
The result is simple, unobtrusive, and cost-effective cables that are easy to install
Triple FIFO Buffering
can vary, especially when reading discs. This is “jitter”, degrading music's sense of space
and diminishing realism. Meridian's multiple “First In, First Out” buffering system minimises
jitter, ensuring perfect timing and improved clarity. You enjoy a clearer feeling of the instruments
and their interrelationship.
Meridian High Resolution (MHR)
between components. Previously, it had to be in the analogue domain, reducing quality. MHR
allows secure movement of high resolution digital audio within a Meridian system, without
compromise, improving quality by reducing cyclic repetition.
Meridian Apodising Filter
of "pre-ringing". Early digital recordings suffer from harshness too, due to primitive filters. After
painstaking research, Meridian developed a special filter that avoids pre-ringing, so it can be
steeper, cleaning up the effects of early filters. The result: a better, cleaner sound from recordings
