REL T/9x SE – Now available in Blue & Green

REL Acoustics has unveiled two bold new finishes for its acclaimed T9/x SE (Special Edition) subwoofer: French Racing Blue and Green With Envy™. Typical given we just published an article on the range a couple of weeks ago!

Each T/9x SE is precision-engineered with REL’s legendary high-level input, a lightning-fast 300-watt Class A/B amplifier, and a long-throw 10” driver–delivering deep, expressive bass that integrates flawlessly with main speakers for both music and cinema.

A Supercar-Inspired Statement

French Racing Blue pays homage to motorsport heritage–a deep, electrified tone long associated with velocity, control, and precision engineering. Green With Envy™ is playful yet commanding, a vibrant shade that crackles with kinetic energy and a touch of irreverence.

These finishes join REL’s growing palette of high-performance “machines,” alongside Italian Racing Red, Tangerine Dream, and Le Mon™ Yellow creating a subwoofer collection that’s more Formula 1 paddock than product range.

But make no mistake: this is more than style. The T/9x SE features upgraded carbon fibre centre caps that reduce moving mass by 10 grams, yielding quicker response and improved articulation. The result? Up to 1.2 dB of additional output over the standard T/9x–measurable speed and control that audiophiles can feel.

Engineered for Eyes and Ears

These bold new models are for those who want their systems to speak before they even press play–tailored for individuals who see their home audio setup as an extension of personal taste and a reflection of their passions.

This whole line is about shock and awe–about catching someone’s eye and having them say, ‘that’s me’ ” says John Hunter, REL’s Chief Designer. “The SEs are for people who are expressive, passionate, and unapologetically bold in their love of sound. It’s not just performance–it’s personality.

For the Passionate Few

Making their global debut at HIGH END Munich 2025, these striking new models offer attendees the first chance to experience exclusive demonstrations of REL’s full lineup of high performance subwoofers.

For those not attending, the new T/9x SE colours are available to view and order now on our website.
