The new Mat Black is crafted from a premium version of the material selected for the Precision Cloth Mats and delivers the same level of performance. It is striking yet subtle, with its satin black logo printed onto one face of beautifully smooth matt black cloth for a really 'stealth' look. Following on from the success of the 100-year Anniversary Mat from 2020, which was strictly limited to 100 examples, it is the only serious alternative to the classic maroon mat.

If replacing a thick rubber or felt mat, the stylus VTA (Vertical Tracking Angle) may need adjustment. If used with a Linn turntable, the process of 'clocking' the platter may be beneficial.

The mat may be used either side uppermost with identical results.
